Hello again

dress: gap // tights: h&m // cardigan: jcrew via thrift, CA (similar) // necklace: f21 (similar) // shoes: urban outfitters // scarf: h&m via thrift, CA (similar)

Oops -- long time no blog, huh? Last week turned into an unexpected hiatus, but was much needed. Between settling into our new place and everything that happened in Boston, my brain appreciated not having think about the internet for a bit. I really did get dressed though, even if I didn't manage to tell you about it -- I promise!

Today was my first day working at a nearby shared work space, so I thought I'd rock some (self-imposed) office wear. After a few weeks of jeans and t-shirts with sweaters, it felt nice to be a little more dressed up and I swear I was somehow more productive -- seems silly, but I think it's true for me. (Err... not that I'm unproductive otherwise; just that it adds a nice little boost. I know some of my coworkers read this, so don't think if I'm wearing jeans, it means I'm slacking!)

  4. you're baaaaaaaack! i'm so happy. i missed you soooooo much. in a weird i-know-you-on-the-internet-but-you're-still-my-bestie kind of way.

i'm really glad you took the week to get things in order. blogging (and teh interwebz in general) can be a lot of pressure if we don't take care of ourselves first, and then it isn't fun.

i loooove this outfit. tell us more about the co-working space! i'm looking into those in austin, but i have no idea what to expect. i'm sure they're each different, but i'd love to see a post that tells me more about your experience. i sometimes have trouble staying focused on work (as opposed to blogging) as home, so i think a co-working space could be a good option for me.

ps. i've probably asked you this before, but do you have a blog button? can i have it? i want to put you in my sidebaaaaar.

kay. that's enough extra letters for one comment.

  7. Yayayayayayay! I'm so glad your back. Seriously, a week in the blog world feels like eternity in the real world! ..wait, I meant the reverse of that, haha! (Lazy fingers don't want to type, but they just ended up typing this, so.. lazy fingers don't want to backspace.)

I love this look so much! I've been looking for more of a business casual type of dress, and this one's perfecto. I love the pop of turquoise (I believe we've been over that already..as usual) with the maroon cardigan!

So glad you're all settled in my dear! I just started moving things into a storage unit to hold for a couple of months while we remodel the place Curtis and I will be living in. It's already not fun, haha.
